Estepona is currently working on four projects, costing around 2.5 million euros paid mostly by EU development funds, the town's mayor has said.

Current projects include the first phase of improvements to Avenida Andalucía; a roundabout at the junction of Avenida San Lorenzo and Calle Pilar de Farinós; improvements to the e-admin system at the town hall and an energy efficiency plan for La Lobilla sports hall, according to José María García Urbano. Funds will also be found to renovate the ruins of San Luís castle in 2019.
