San Pedro survey backs pedestrianisation plan

  • A survey of 451 people found that 70 per cent want to close Avenida Marqués del Duero to traffic

The district town hall in the San Pedro area of Marbella municipality has announced the results of a survey of local residents.

Among the main findings is confirmation of local support for the recent closure of the town's main access road, Avenida Marqués del Duero, to traffic. The council's decision to pedestrianise had been controversial.

In total 451 people completed the survey and 70 per cent said 'yes' to the move.
