Marbella gets ready for world launch of Audi's new eco-friendly cars

The event will run from 22 January to 14 February and bring together 6,000 executives

Car manufacturer Audi has started setting up its global Audi Dealer Meeting 2019, which it is hosting at Marbella's convention centre.

The prestigious event will take place between 22 January and 14 February and bring together 6,000 executives from the company.

There are 200 people working round the clock on the preparations for the event which will launch an eco-friendly range.

The mayor of Marbella, Ángeles Muñoz, has highlighted "the important promotional opportunity for our town in the middle of low season, as well as the chance to show off the Marbella brand to media from different countries".

She also thanked the council-owned Palacio de Congresos for its efforts to sign up Audi, which is paying the venue 260,000 euros.
