Torremolinos town hall helped more than 400 local underprivileged families enjoy Christmas this year. Vouchers with a value of 50 euros were distributed among several NGO organisations, including the Red Cross, Cáritas and Arte Contra el Hambre.
Councillor for Social Services, Pedro Pérez, stressed that the project, held for the second consecutive year, was part of the town hall's commitment to families in danger of social exclusion during the festive season.
"We greatly appreciate the collaboration of the non-profit organizations of Torremolinos with the distribution of this aid, and also for the extraordinary work they do throughout the whole year. Together we would like to end the syndrome of the empty table," the councillor said.
