Cristiano relaxes in Marbella

The Portuguese football player spends time in the luxury resort during the lead up to the World Cup

In the wake of recent revelations that Cristiano Ronaldo may not continue to play for Championship-winners Real Madrid, he has travelled to Marbella for a few days of relaxation and reflection before joining his national team in Russia for the World Cup.

The Portuguese player flew into Malaga on Tuesday with his partner Georgina Rodríguez and his oldest son, among other family members.

On Wednesday night, he dined at Marbella's Puente Romano, enjoying luxury cuisine from Chef Dani García.

Ronaldo clearly favours the luxury resort: this is his second visit this year.
