Marbella town hall has opened two sets of disciplinary proceedings against the Puente Romano Beach Resort&Spa after it began to carry out work which the local authority says is being conducted without its permission.
For some months now the resort has been in the process of creating a new building for receiving customers in the area next to the Jardín Andaluz residential complex.
Residents have not only voiced their concerns at the new building itself, but are also worried about the repercussions it will have on noise levels in the area and on traffic and pedestrian security.
The provincial councillor for town planning, Isabel Pérez, confirmed to SUR that the authority is working on the case which could end with an order that will stop the work altogether, which, despite the opening of disciplinary proceedings, is currently ongoing.
