Despite already boasting numerous direct flights around the globe, Turismo Costa del Sol is striving to reach out to destinations to which there are no direct flights. One such destination is Israel.
From May, the airline company Sund'or, subsidiary of Israel's national airline El Al, will start to run a service between Malaga and Tel Aviv after Turismo Costa del Sol, represented by Elías Bendodo, reached an agreement which will see the start of a mutual marketing campaign to promote tourism between Spain and Israel.
Initially, flights will run from May until October, twice a week, with 12,000 seats up for grabs from Israel's second biggest city. However, the intention is that flight numbers will increase to three times a week and will be on offer all year round, according to the company's directors.
The deal was announced at the International Mediterranean Tourism Market in Tel Aviv which concluded on Wednesday.
