Marbella council is working to create the first network of allotments within the municipality. Personnel from the department of sustainability, who are leading the project, are currently searching for suitable plots of land for the endeavour.

The objective is to find 1,000 plots of around 20 to 30 square metres around the town. The council has already identified areas in Camino Camoján, the southern part of Las Medranas and the northern parts of Las Albarizas and Las Chapas.

The project budget for the development of the allotments has been set at 40,000 euros.
