Nerja 41 Club

Birthday fundraiser

Following the recent 500-euro donation by 41 Club Nerja to the Nerja Solidaria food bank, Club Secretary Brian Karet, who is a volunteer with the food bank, asked guests at his birthday party on 1 October to donate money to the charity, instead of buying him presents.

Guests raised 250 euros which Brian presented to Nerja Solidaria President Miguel Benítez Centurion last week.

Miguel thanked Brian and said that the food bank "provides a vital lifeline for many struggling local families" despite the improving Covid-19 situation.

St George's Church

Farewell

The congregation at St George's Church in Malaga said goodbye to two important members of the musical team on Sunday. The Harvest Festival was the last Sunday service attended by Ged and David Harrison who are leaving the city. Both had been involved with St George's for the last 20 years: among other things, David was the musical director and Ged led the choir.
