German Film Week returns to the Albéniz theatre next month

The film week, now in its second edition, is organised by SUR deutsche Ausgabe, SUR in English's German sister paper, with the German consulate in Malaga and the Goethe Institute in Madrid

German Film Week returns to the Albéniz theatre in Malaga from 5 to 9 October with ten successful German films.

The film week, now in its second edition, is organised by SUR deutsche Ausgabe, SUR in English's German sister paper, with the German consulate in Malaga and the Goethe Institute in Madrid. At the launch of the event on Thursday, the editor of SUR deutsche Ausgabe, Uwe Scheele, and the editor-in-chief of SUR, Manuel Castillo, were joined by the German Consul in Malaga, Arnulf Braun and other officials. The film week, which was first held early in 2020, has a double objective: "To create bridges between German culture and Malaga society, and to raise awareness," said Scheele.

Films which won awards at the Berlinale, recent premieres, documentaries and films with a social commitment make up the schedule which takes place in Sala 1 of the Albéniz theatre. All films are in original version and subtitled in Spanish. Tickets: https://cine-aleman.diariosur.es/
