Estepona town hall joins the Cudeca Sunflower Effect campaign

Some 6,339 euros was raised last year at a charity concert in the municipal auditorium given by popular flamenco singer Miguel Poveda

Estepona town hall boosted the Cudeca Sunflower Effect campaign last week with a donation of 6,339 euros. The money was raised last year at a charity concert in the municipal auditorium given by popular flamenco singer Miguel Poveda.

Mayor José María García Urbano handed the cheque to Financial Director Rafael Olalla and Coordinator of Institutional Relations Aurea Peralta in a presentation held in the town hall.

Rafael Olalla said, "We appreciate the huge support of the local people, as well as the invaluable personal involvement of the mayor, who has encouraged the people of Estepona to join Cudeca's campaign."

The campaign, which aims to raise 185,000 euros to maintain a home care team consisting of a doctor, nurse and social worker specialising in palliative care, will continue until 31 of January.
