Beatle-mania is due to go to sea on 22 October when a themed cruise sets sail from Barcelona. Passengers will enjoy seven nights of live music provided by artists paying tribute to The Beatles and the solo careers of Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison, as well as other iconic stars in pop and rock music, including Buddy Holly, Cilla Black and Elvis Presley, among others.

The host for each night will be the Costa del Sol's own Mel Williams, who in 1963 was on the bill for three weeks as the support act for The Beatles in Paris. Also featured is Peter Donegan, son of the legendary Lonnie Donegan, whose skiffle music inspired The Beatles in a huge way.

The Beatles theme continues off stage with a series of onboard debates, talks and exhibitions. Guests will include Tony Bramwell and Leslie Cavendish, who will speak about their times and experiences with the band.

The ship, the MS Sovereign, with a capacity for 2,852 passengers and 803 crew members, will visit Sète, Villefranche, Livorno, Civitavecchia and Naples, before returning to Barcelona.
