Clients who attended the launch of Teatro Marbella last weekend discovered when they passed through the heavy curtains into the restaurant that they were about to enjoy, not only a delicious meal at the elegantly decorated tables, but also an amazing cabaret show based on the very best of Ibiza and Las Vegas.
This 2,000-square-metre venue in Nueva Andalucía used to be the Dreamers nightclub, but it has now been completely refurbished at a cost of over one million euros by three partners resident in Marbella.
This is now an exciting and original club and restaurant, as those 150 first customers were able to find out for themselves.
You dont just pay for a meal here, there are plenty of other restaurants if you want to do that, explains the director of the project, Álvaro Revuelta.
Clients get a taste of what is to come as soon as they arrive and are given a leaflet showing the artists who will be performing, and a stamped entry ticket. As they pass through the curtains into the restaurant, they are accompanied to their tables by some of the artists: the show is about to begin. And what a spectacular show it is, with singing, dancing, acrobatics and theatre performances, as one would expect from a director who has international experience in tourism businesses in Dubai and on Mykonos.
The menu created by Manuel López Quiñones, who has worked with Michelin-starred chefs such as Dani García and Sergi Arola, doesnt disappoint, all based on local products with a touch of Asian fusion. This top class gastronomic and entertaining experience costs on average 120 euros per person.
