A further supply of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine has now been delivered from the UK to Gibraltar, and will be offered to vulnerable and high risk children aged between 12 and 15. This latest shipment takes the total number of doses of Covid-19 vaccines supplied to Gibraltar to approximately 80,000.
Although Gibraltar has a population of around 34,000 it has also been offering vaccinations to its 15,000 cross-border workers.
The number of active Covid-19 cases in Gibraltar has begun to fall, and on Thursday there were 180 (166 residents and 14 visitors). Seven people are in the hospital Covid ward, and one is in Critical Care. St Bernard's Hospital operational risk status remains on amber.
There was some other good news this week, too, as visits have been reinstated for people in Elderly Residential Services, under very strict conditions.
