Five immigrants were rescued from an inflatable dinghy seven kilomtres south of Europa Point on Sunday morning, 30 May.
At 9.24am the Royal Gibraltar Police Control Room received a distress call from a Moroccan male who was with four other males on a sinking three-metre long inflatable.
A coordinated rescue was launched involving RGP Marine Section officers, GDP, HM Customs, the Gibraltar Port Authority and the Spanish authorities.
At 9.44am the vessel was found in a shipping lane outside British Gibraltar Territorial Waters..
All five males, who were in good health, were rescued by Salvamento Marítimo with RGP Marine Section in attendance.
