Spain has decided to lift the temporary coronavirus access restrictions across the land border from Gibraltar with effect from 6pm on Tuesday, 30 March.

The order has been published in Spain Official State Gazette (BOE), and includes, nevertheless, the extension until 30 April of the temporary restriction of "non-essential trips from [other] third countries to the European Union and Schengen associated countries for reasons of public order and public health due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19."

The order extends the restrictions that were due to end on 31 March.

This latest decision comes a few days after the government of Spain decided not to extend the limitations on arrivals of passengers on direct flights and ships from the United Kingdom at Spanish airports and ports.
