The Alameda botanical gardens are one of Gibraltar's main attractions, and the dates have now been announced for the popular guided tours this year.
The tours normally take place on the last Saturday of the month and cost £5 for adults. There is no charge for children. The groups meet at the George Don gates at 10.30 am.
The gardens, which are below the Rock Hotel, were established by Lieutenant-Governor Sir George Don in 1816, and mainly retain the original layout. They fell into disrepair in the 1970s but were restored in 1991 and their role was expanded to include education, research and conservation of flora. They contain plants from all round the world.
The dates announced for this year's guided tours are: 25 January, 29 February, 28 March, 25 April, 30 May, 27 June, 25 July, 29 August, 26 September, 31 October and 28 November.
