Two people die in a plane crash in Andalucía

Firefighters had to release the bodies from the wreckage of the aircraft that crashed in an olive grove in Niebla

Two people have died this Monday afternoon in Niebla (Huelva) after the plane in which they were travelling crashed, the 112 Andalucía emergency coordination centre has reported.

The incident happened just before 2pm in the Andalusian town.

Firefighters found the plane had crashed in an olive grove next to the town's airfield and released the two occupants, who died in the accident.

The Guardia Civil, National Police, Local Police also attended the incident, while air traffic controllers and air accident investigators were also notified.
