Hospital pressure reduces as Covid-19 incidence rate in Andalucía rises to 33.2

The Andalucía region has registered a total of 262 coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours this Wednesday, 27 October, higher than the 227 last Wednesday and the 242 the day before, on Tuesday.

One coronavirus death has also been reported, a figure lower than a week ago (four) and this Tuesday (five).

According to daily data from the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA), the 14-day cumulative incidence rate has risen 1.2 to 33.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants compared to the 32 on Tuesday, when the incidence fell after five days of climbing. In addition, it is higher than the rate registered a week ago, when it stood at 29.8.

The 262 positives this Wednesday are added after the 242 on Tuesday, 263 on Monday and Sunday, 282 on Saturday, 275 on Friday, 307 on Thursday and the 227 last Wednesday.

Malaga is the province with the most new infections with 58, followed by Seville with 53, Huelva (40), Almeria (29), Jaén (28), Cadiz and Granada with 20 each, and Cordoba with 14.

The only death is registered in the province of Seville.

Hospital pressure

The has been a drop of four patients hospitalised for Covid-19 compared to Tuesday to make a total of 174, which represents a decrease of 22 compared to last week. The number of patients admitted to an intensive care unit has fallen by two to 39, some 12 fewer than those notified seven days ago.
