A new, permanent exhibition, Treasures of Marine Life, (Tesoros de la vida marina), is now open at La Herradura castle in Almuñécar (Granada province).

The opening ceremony was presided over by Anne Zipse, the president of the Friends of the Sea Association, (Amigos del Mar), who are responsible for the exhibition, as well as the local councillor for tourism and beaches, Daniel Barbero.

Zipse said that the Friends of the Sea Association was "very excited to be able to have a permanent presence in such an emblematic site".

"The exhibitions that we are going to display will change every four months and we will invite educational centres to come to learn about the biological treasures that we have in this area to be able to protect them for future generations," she added.

The castle is open from Wednesday to Sunday, morning and afternoon.
