The Andalusian region has registered a total of 628 new coronavirus infections this Wednesday, 15 September, some 51 more than the day before when 504 were recorded but 52 fewer than those reported a week ago.
The Andalusian Institute of Cartography and Statistics (IECA), has also added eleven deaths, ten fewer than 24 hours ago and 16 down on seven days ago.
The cumulative incidence rate stands at 89.49 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, some 9.11 lower than Tuesday, and 37.3 down compared to seven days ago.
The 628 positives this Wednesday are registered after the 577 on Tuesday, the 504 on Monday and Sunday (48 hours), 710 on Saturday, 604 on Friday, 699 on Thursday and the 680 of last Wednesday.
By provinces, Seville is the region with the most new infections with 242, followed by Malaga with 89, Almeria and Cadiz with 62 each, Cordoba with 54, Granada with 36, Huelva with 18 and Jaén with 14.
As for the eleven deaths registered in the last 24 hours, four were recorded in Malaga, three in Huelva and one each in Seville, Jaén, Cadiz and Almeria, with Cordoba being the only province in the region that does not register deaths in the daily update.
In addition, Andalucía has seen a drop of 35 in the number of patients hospitalised for Covid compared to the previous day to reach a total of 556, a decrease of 207 in the inter-weekly comparison, while the number of patients in an intensive care unit has fallen for the ninth consecutive day, by 15, to stand at 135, some 37 less than the number reported seven days ago.
