Andalucía lowers its Covid-19 incidence rate for the tenth day

In the last 24 hours, some 3,687 positive infections and 14 coronavirus deaths have been recorded in the region

Some 3,687 positive coronavirus infections have been registered in Andalucía this Friday, 13 August, lower than the 4,651 on the same day last week, according to data from the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA).

The Junta organisation has also counted 14 deaths after three consecutive days with more than 20 deaths (22 on Thursday, 24 on Wednesday and 28 on Tuesday).

The cumulative incidence rate of the region has fallen for the tenth time after 33 days of consecutive increases and stands at 510.4 per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, some down 17 in the last 24 hours and 71.3 in a week.

The 3,687 positives this Friday are recorded after the 3,669 on Thursday, 3,059 on Wednesday, 3,418 on Tuesday, 4,184 on Monday and Sunday, the 4,360 on Saturday and the 4,651 last Friday.

By provinces, Seville continues to be the one with the most cases with 927, followed by Malaga with 810, Cadiz (482), Granada (347), Jaén (326), Huelva (273), Cordoba (266) and Almería with 256.

Regarding the 14 deaths, Malaga and Cadiz have registered four deaths each, followed by Cordoba with two, and Almeria, Granada, Jaén and Seville with one in each province. Huelva is the only Andalusian province that has not recorded any deaths.
