A unique tribute show presenting the music of one of the most revolutionary and influential artists in the history of music will be held at the Las Lagunas theatre in La Cala de Mijas on Friday 14 May.
The Elton John Experience is a journey through the professional career of Reginald Dwight, the English singer, pianist and composer who shot to fame in the early 1970s with hits like Your Song, Rocket Man, Candle in the Wind and Honky Cat. The show is performed by Paul Maxwel - a pianist who has acquired the pseudonym of the Piano Man - and his backing band, who reproduce Sir Elton's characteristic gospel-chorded rock songs and poignant ballads.
Paul Maxwel, who has been entertaining audiences on the coast for more than 30 years, has shared stages with celebrated stars like Michael Bolton, Lionel Richie, Simply Red and George Benson. His tribute show has received rave reviews and it promises to be a night of nostalgia for fans of an artist who has sold more than 300 million records in his 50-year career.
Tickets for the show cost 20 euros in advance and 25 euros on the door. Organised by Ocio Music and the Festival of Legends, the show, which will adhere to all coronavirus protocols, will begin at 7pm.
For information about reservations, see the Ocio Music Facebook page, or phone 633647260.
