Beat of love comes to Torremolinos

  • The Suzette and More band will be performing a mixture of soul, gospel, funk and jazz at the Metro Black Velvet venue this weekend

Lovers of rhythm and blues will enjoy a concert by Suzette and More at the Metro Black Velvet live music venue in Torremolinos tomorrow (Saturday). The band is fronted by Suzette Moncrief, one of Malaga’s most versatile and established singers. Her energetic stage presence and exciting mixture of soul, gospel, funk and jazz has earned the singer a huge following on the coast.

A vocalist who performs with several well-known local bands, Suzette has been described as a “transmitter of a brutal energy on stage”, an image that this established singer certainly lives up to.

During the pandemic, Suzette, who describes her music as the “beat of love, to the rhythm of love”, has taken her music to the streets, but she is eager to return to the stage with her live band now that the restrictions have been relaxed.

Tickets for the show, which begins at 4.30pm, cost ten euros and includes a beer, soft drink or water on arrival.

Capacity restrictions and Covid regulations will apply.
