The Salón Varietés theatre in Fuengirola will present a one-man show based on the life of director and actor Colin Pollard - one of the driving forces behind the Costa's only English-language theatre.

The show, entitled Utter Rubbish - A Nobody's Hilarious Journey Through an Unbelievable Life, focuses on the fascinating experiences of the 84-year-old entertainer's time in showbiz and will include anecdotes and amusing stories from his soon-to-be-published memoirs.

Born in London and raised in Yorkshire, Colin first set foot on stage at the age of four and he is still active on the local amateur theatre scene today. Arriving in Fuengirola in 2011, Colin became involved with the Salón Varietés and has since appeared in more than 40 of the theatre's productions.

The show, organised as part of the theatre's current fundraising initiative, will be held on Saturday 20 March and pre-registration is required. Entry to the show is by donation and those wishing to register should send an e-mail to fundraising@salonvarietes.com

Masks must be worn in the theatre and capacity restrictions will apply.
