An afternoon of live music and entertainment will be held in the Millenium Cocktail Bar in Calahonda in order to raise funds for local food banks and people suffering from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Festival of Music Charity Afternoon will take place on Friday 26 March from 2pm until 5.30pm, although organisers have stressed that times may change in the event of the current restrictions being lifted.

The music, which will include everything from the 50s until present day, will be supplied by One Wish Steve (who is also organising the event), Jools Hurst, Steve Owen and Layla, all of whom have been entertaining on the coast for many years.

There will also be a surprise vocalist, whose identity is being kept secret.

Tickets cost 10 euros and are available by contacting the Millenium Bar, or from stevepkm@gmail.com.

The funds will be boosted by a prize draw and an auction.

Capacity restrictions will apply and face masks must be worn in the bar area.
