The Casa de las Navajas in Torremolinos is hosting a new exhibition of photographs and artwork by Malaga artist Fran Doblas.
Under the banner of Escape Inwards, the exhibition was initiated during the lockdown, when she invited friends and colleagues to participate in a questionnaire. She also asked them to send a selfie that reflected how they coped with the confinement. The questionnaire was a self-reflection exercise and the artist used this, along with a portrait of the participant, to create a visual collage that represents individual stories in a metaphorical way.
The artists explained that the exhibition, which runs until Sunday 14 February, "brings to mind some very uncertain moments when we did not know what was happening. This has marked us as a society and this project is designed as a reflection towards what we really feel".
The exhibition can be viewed from Friday to Sunday between the hours of 11am and 2pm, and from 4pm until 6pm.
