Lovers of opera music will enjoy the annual Lyrical Concert for Cudeca which will take place at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella on Friday 27 November at 9pm. The fundraising event will present a repertoire of Spanish zarzuela and opera, performed by some of the area's most celebrated chamber music performers.
The ensemble of musicians, all of whom come from Malaga, consists of soprano Sonia García, tenor Diego Morales and pianist Cecilia Martín.
Award-winning soprano Sonia García began her singing studies at the Marbella Conservatory. She continued her studies in Malaga before completing her degree in Perugia (Italy).
A music teacher from the University of Malaga, Diego Morales has worked with some of the top classical musicians in Andalucía, while pianist Cecilia Martín has given recitals in different chamber groups throughout Spain in theatres such as the Gran Teatro in Cáceres, the Cervantes in Malaga and the Kursaal in Melilla.
