Torremolinos town hall has announced rescheduled dates for several live music concerts that were postponed last month because of the coronavirus restrictions decreed by the Junta de Andalucía. The series of rock, blues, soul and folk concerts under the banner of Tenemos Talento will now be held in the Caseta de Asociaciones, situated on the town's fairground. The concerts, which are free, will be held over two weekends, with two performances each night.

The festivities start today (Friday), with two of Malaga's most popular bands, Doble Juego and Estrella Negra. Doble Negro perform a mixture of covers ranging from Cher and Blondie, to Boney M and Olivia Newton John; while Estrella Negra, who have been together for more than 30 years, will delight fans of classic rock music.

On Saturday, Seville rockers No Hay Tegua and local band La Cara B will present a night of rock, blues and pop music.

Part two of the series will continue on Friday 25 September, with Meskalina y Chico Quebranto (acoustic folk and rock), while the highlight, on Saturday 26, will present two of Malaga's most versatile and established musicians.

The night will get going with Suzette Moncrief and her latest group, Suzette & More. Suzette's energetic stage presence and exciting mixture of soul, funk and rock has earned the singer a huge following on the coast.

Along with her solo career, Suzette also performs with several renowned ensembles, including the Free Soul Band and the Lito Blues Band.

Former frontman of the Amargo Grupo Flamenco Carlos Bravo will close the cycle with his tribute to Hispanic artistes Luis Miguel, Bruno Mars, Niña Pastori and La Susi.

Prior reservation will be necessary and should be made by sending an e-mail to eventos@ayto-torremolinos.es indicating name, NIF/NIE and contact phone number. A minimum of two and a maximum of four tickets can be reserved.

The cultural department said it was necessary to introduce strict measures in order to comply with the health recommendations of the regional authorities, "while maintaining its commitment to support a sector that has suffered due to limitations".

Concerts start at 9pm. www.torremolinos.es
