The Torrox ice cream route: a cool way to extend summer

All those who take part will be given a free gift and entered into a raffle with the chance to win a two-litre tub of ice cream and 150 euros worth of vouchers to be used in local restaurants

Ice cream parlours in Torrox and El Morche are running a ruta del helado (ice cream route) until 27 September.

Participants can sample flavours including 'Gold' in Heladería Los Cordobeses, cookies and custard at Heladería Feroche Beach, cheesecake at Buenavista II on Ferrara Beach promenade, turrón and cream with pine nuts at La Playa in El Morche, choco hazelnut crunch at MenaGolf on Laguna Beach or Oreo-Kinder at VistaMar on Avenida España.

Participants must hand in their completed card, which each heladería will stamp, along with points given for the best ice cream, to tourist information offices or the town hall in Torrox Pueblo by 30 September.

All those who take part will be given a free gift and entered into a raffle with the chance to win a two-litre tub of ice cream and 150 euros worth of vouchers to be used in local restaurants throughout October.
