Benalmádena town hall has announced that this year's Maratón de Cuentos will take place online. Under the banner of 'Tales from Home', the digital story marathon will take place on Saturday 30 May between midday and 8pm.
The initiative, now in its 25th year, invites participants to narrate a story, this time from home, either by live streaming or pre-recorded video.
Those interested in taking part must register via e-mail (casadelacultura@benalmadena.es) indicating whether they want to participate live or by video.
The town hall will contact each participant to arrange time schedules. Participation is open to all age groups and there is no restrictions on story subject, although the organisers reserve the right to omit any material deemed unfit for family viewing.
The programme will also include 'Draw Your Favourite Story', aimed at artists who wish to submit a drawing or painting of a particular theme.
The registration deadline is midday on Thursday 21 May.
The event will be broadcast live on the Benalmádena town hall's YouTube channel and Facebook page.
