The multi-talented British television presenter and stand-up comedian Bill Bailey is bringing his Larks in Transit show to Torremolinos in March. Bailey is currently touring Europe with the show, which is described as "a compendium of travellers' tales and the general shenanigans of 20 years as a travelling comedian".

Known for his work on television shows like Black Books, Have I Got News for You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and QI, Bailey was voted the seventh greatest standup comic by Channel 4 in 2007, and again in 2010.

A competent pianist and guitarist, he began his career as a double act called the Rubber Bishops during the 1980s and he soon began developing his own unique style, mixing musical parodies with variations of traditional jokes. With musical virtuosity and two decades of life as a comic, Larks in Transit tackles politics, philosophy and the pursuit of happiness filtered through what the Daily Telegraph calls "the brainiest comic of his generation".

The UK dates have already sold out and promotors are predicting that his Spanish shows, which include Barcelona, Madrid and Torremolinos, will attract much attention and are advising early reservation.

Tickets for the Torremolinos show, which will be held in the Príncipe de Asturias auditorium on Thursday 5 March, cost 36 euros. Show starts at 8.30pm.
