Spain's top cinematic orchestra, the Film Symphony Orchestra (FSO), are currently on a national tour that will take them to most of the major cities in Spain.

The FSO Tour 2019/20 will present a show highlighting the music of some of the most popular Hollywood movies of the last few decades, including Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic World, Star Wars, Back to the Future and Willow.

The orchestra will perform just four dates in Andalucía, the first of which will be at the Príncipe de Asturias Auditorium in Torremolinos on Saturday 16 November (tomorrow).

The show will move onto the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones in Granada on Sunday 17 November, with further dates in Seville and Jerez de la Frontera in 2020.

The orchestra's last tour, which was dedicated to American film composer John Williams, consisted of more than 60 concerts in Spain and Portugal, culminating in Madrid, where the show enjoyed nine sellout performances at the National Music Auditorium.

This year's tour will include a Marvel-style program, with superheroes and villains who will fight to win the favour of the audience. The orchestra will also perform music from Disney, as well as scores from the soundtrack of Sergio Leone's classic spaghetti western, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

The Film Symphony Orchestra is an artistic project which was founded to address a gap in the musical and cultural industry in Spain. The orchestra, which aims to bring symphonic music to a wide audience, is made up of more than 80 professional musicians dedicated to music of the cinema. Led by the internationally acclaimed composer and conductor, Constantino Martínez Orts, the FSO performs a varied programme of film music concerts accompanied by visual projections and stage show.

Tickets for the Torremolinos show, which starts at 7.30pm, cost between 36 and 52 euros. Tickets for the performance in Granada, which begins at 8pm, cost 42 and 52 euros.
