The celebrated Swiss pianist and composer, David Gómez, who is currently touring Spain with his '1 Piano and 200 Candles' show, will stop off to perform in the bullring in Torremolinos on Thursday 8 August. The 44-year-old pianist will offer a recital of popular classical music, as well as compositions from his latest recording Pianographie.

Organised by Torremolinos town hall, the show has already visited Mallorca, Madrid, Navarra, Cadiz and Granada. Each performance, which is illuminated by the glow of 200 candles, has been presented in a unique environment, including lighthouses, churches, abandoned buildings, train stations and historic ruins.

Gómez gave his first recital at the age of 14 and he began to make his mark in the world of classical music after studying with several renowned maestros. He has since performed as a soloist in Carnegie Hall in New York, the Opera House in Cairo and the National Concert Hall in Dublin.

The show begins at 10pm and tickets, priced between 20 and 99 euros, can be purchased from www.ticketea.com or on 902 008 367.
