For the fourth year running, Torre del Mar will be looking to the skies this weekend for its annual air show.

Pilots will be practicing during Friday and Saturday with the main performance taking place on Sunday.

Once again the skies over the town will be humming to the sound of the Eurofighter and this year for the first time the Spanish armed forces' Harrier will also be participating. Familiar names also include Patrulla Águila, Canadair and the Plus Ultra synchronised flying team.

This year Spain's Guardia Civil will be taking part with the CN235, as well as one of their helicopters. The first Spanish wing walker will be displaying daring stunts, too.

The local Air Club Axarquía will have an exhibition of around 20 aircraft built to scale next to the town's pedestrianised area, Paseo de Larios.
