  • A Grand National afternoon organised by the Cudeca Goldies takes place at the Tamisa Golf Hotel on 6 April

The Cudeca Goldies will host their annual fundraising Grand National afternoon at the Tamisa Golf Hotel on Saturday 6 April. The event begins at 2pm and will show all of the racing live from Aintree on several large television screens, starting with the Gaskells Handicap at 2.45pm. The Grand National, which is watched by an estimated five million people worldwide, will be shown at 6.15pm and there will be a bookmaker on site for those who fancy a flutter.

This is the fourth consecutive year the Cudeca Goldies have organised the event, which includes fun activities like the inflatable horse racing contest, a raffle and live entertainment supplied soul and gospel duo, Mr Maph and Simone. The music will continue throughout the day with popular local disc-jockey, Lee Jay.

Tickets cost 35 euros (ten euros of which will go to Cudeca) and includes welcome drinks and a grand buffet, which will be served from 2.30pm.
