Around 20 artists from Granada, Malaga and Madrid are exhibiting work at the 'Erotica' exhibition which is currently on at Almuñécar's Casa de la Cultura.
The featured work includes painting, sculpture and poetry by members of Almuñécar's Arte Sur artists' network as well as a number of invited artists.
The different works express the artists' impressions of eroticism and carnal desire, from more subtle pieces to the graphic.
Opening the exhibition last weekend, Arte Sur coordinator, Loli Martín Morales, said "We can't deny that eroticism, as a motor for art and artistic inspiration, is one of the most powerful, controversial and explosive combinations to be found. Eroticism has always played an important role in art."
The exhibition runs until 16 February and is open from Monday to Saturday, from 5 until 9pm in the Rowland Fade exhibition room at Almuñécar's Casa de la Cultura on Calle Puerta de Granada. For more information see the Facebook page 'Arte-Sur Almuñécar'.
