The most celebrated music of the 1980s will rock Cártama during the Noche Ochentera Festival on Saturday 4 August. The eighties night concert will bring to an end the sixth edition of the Azahar Joven summer cultural activities programme, which is organised by Cártama town hall and the Sala Rey de Copas.

The concert, which will take place in the Ciudad Deportiva sports complex from 8pm, will present several groups, including Los Electroduendes, El Viajero de Cartón, Aire and Los Ramírez, all of which will perform tributes to various celebrated Spanish pop bands of the 80s.

There will also be a performance by the Money Makers, one of Malaga's top cover bands. This vibrant rock band play classic pop and rock hits, including the songs of Queen, Bob Dylan, Oasis, The Police and the Rolling Stones.

The event promises to be a trip down memory lane for lovers of new wave, punk, funk, rock, dance and pop music, as the groups will recreate an authentic 1980s-style concert, complete with gaudy clothes, dry ice and disco lighting.

Tickets for the concert cost 10 euros and are available online (www.monsterticket.es) or from the ticket office on the night of the concert.
