The sounds of legendary British band, The Animals, will be revived during a special one-off concert in Torremolinos on Monday 25 June.

Under the banner of The Greatest Hits of The Animals, the show is performed by Steve Hutchinson and Martin Bland - former members of the 60s super group. Although Steve and Martin were not members of the original lineup, they were the band's longest serving bassist and keyboard player.

The Animals were an English rhythm and blues band that formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in the early 1960s. Known for their gritty, bluesy sound and gravel-voiced frontman, Eric Burden, the band was part of the British Invasion of the US.

Steve and Martin toured the world with the Animals for more than six years, performing in concerts as far afield as the USA, Australia and the Middle East. Both musicians have also played alongside some of the biggest names in the music business. Today, they are members of The UK Legends, with which they perform the hits of the celebrated bands and musicians they have worked with over the years.

During the 1960s, the Animals had ten top-20 hits in both the UK and the US and many of these, like, We've Gotta Get Out of this Place and Don't Let Me be Misunderstood, will be performed by the duo on Monday night.

The Animals most celebrated hit was The House of the Rising Sun. Sometimes known as Rising Sun Blues, the song was a traditional folk long before the Animals turned it into a transatlantic number one hit single in 1964.

The concert, which starts at 8pm, will take place in Guapatini's Show Bar in the Plaza La Nogalera, Torremolinos.

Tickets, which cost ten euros, are available on 617246995 or from Mariners Pub, Fuengirola.
