La Cala de Mijas Lions Club is hosting a special gala dinner at the Tamisa Golf Hotel on Thursday 28 June. Tickets for the event cost 25 euros and include cava on arrival, plus a three course meal with wine, beer or soft drinks, and live entertainment.

Fresh from their recent performances at the Victorian extravaganza held in Llandudno in North Wales last month, A Touch of Class invite guests to relive the good old days of the traditional old time music hall. Stirring up a bit of nostalgia, master of ceremonies, Pauline Holme and her troupe will present a night of British theatrical entertainment. The audience is encouraged to dress up in the attire of the era and take part in the singing of classic music hall hits and London pub songs. There will also be a prize for best Victorian style costumes.

During the second half of the show, the amateur theatrical group will perform a selection of songs and sketches from their vast repertoire, including River Dance, The Roaring '20s and a special Spanish set.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are available from the Tamisa Golf Hotel, the Lions Club shop in La Cala de Mijas, or call 952026611. All proceeds will go to the La Cala de Mijas Lions Club, which is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary.
