Fans of the legendary music of The Beatles will enjoy two special tribute concerts, the first in Estepona on Friday 18 May and then in Benalmádena Costa on Saturday 19 May.
Organised by Benalmádena town hall and Alberto Cohen, founder of Festival of Legends, the concert will be held in the Auditorium Felipe VI in Estepona and the municipal auditorium in La Paloma Park, Benalmádena respectively.
The Silver Beats - a Malaga-based Beatles tribute band are hailed as Spain's finest Beatles tribute band and their live performance is sure to remind fans of the era of Beatlemania. Their show, complete with replica outfits, haircuts and instruments, is based on the band's early career and will present timeless hits like Twist and Shout, A Hard Day's Night and I Want to Hold Your Hand. Camilo will be performing solo tributes to John Lennon, George Harrison and Paul McCartney.
The concerts will also focus on the people who influenced the Fab Four, like Elvis, (who will be recreated by Mark T Connors at the Benalmádena gig only); and Buddy Holly, whose tribute will be performed by Buddy Walker.
Walker has taken his Buddy Holly Show to stages all over the world and in 2002; he performed at the Surf Ballroom in Clearlake, Iowa, renowned for being the last stage on which Buddy Holly performed before his death in 1959.
Tony Bramwell, former CEO of Apple, will be present at both concerts and will talk about his experiences during the Beatles rise to fame in the 1960s. Known as 'The authority of all things Beatles', Bramwell grew up in Liverpool and was best friends with George Harrison. His life became intertwined with The Beatles, first working for the band's manager, Brian Epstein, and then becoming the CEO at Apple Records.
