The village of Cómpeta will be celebrating its 10th art walk over the Easter weekend. F 31 March, and 1, 3 and 4 April, the doors of the village's art studios and galleries will be open.

Thirty-five international artists, representing ten nationalities, will be presenting their work at the event and will be accompanied by live concerts in the squares around Cómpeta and in the gallery, Luz de la Vida. There will also be workshops where members of the public can learn different techniques as well as a drawing competition for children and the opportunity to see artists at work.

Dutch artist, art walk organiser and gallery owner, Lieuwke Loth and her team have put together a full programme of activities to celebrate the artwalk's first decade.

Over the four days, galleries and studios will be open from 11am to 2pm and from 3.30pm to 7.30pm. Lieuwke says, visitors are invited to look at the art and meet the artists in the studios and other venues in the historic town. She adds that the artists will be happy to answer visitors' questions about their work, inspiration and techniques. www.artcompeta.com or Facebook: artcompeta
