The Cudeca Goldies will host their first fundraising event of the New Year on Thursday 25 January.

As in previous years, Cudeca will hold a special Burns Night party at the Tamisa Golf Hotel in Mijas Costa. The event, which starts at 7.30pm, offers a typically Scottish menu with welcome drinks and canapés.

Wines and whisky are included in the menu, which offers haggis, neeps and tatties, Aberdeen Angus roast beef and Highland Clootie fruit dumpling. A vegetarian option will also be available.

Guests will be greeted by bagpipes on arrival and live entertainment will be supplied by Laura Elen, a multi-talented singer whose repertoire includes everything from ballads and rock and roll to opera.

Visitors will also enjoy the 'Address to a Haggis', a poem written by Robert Burns to celebrate his appreciation of the haggis. As a result, Burns and haggis have been forever linked.

Tickets for the Burns Night party cost 45 euros, of which ten euros will go to Cudeca.
