Now that the Christmas and New Year's celebrations are over many of us will be contemplating the list of resolutions and tasks we promised to undertake in the coming year.
Those who need to work off the excess Christmas kilos or want a new hobby, can take advantage of a programme of free courses taking place in Coín.
Organised by the Coín town hall, the majority of the courses will be held from Monday to Friday in the Santa María de la Encarnacíon convent in the centre of town, while others will be held in the town hall.
The various classes include Spanish and English language, photography, painting and drawing, and dress making.
The more adventurous students can enrol in flamenco guitar and dance lessons, or learn the traditional art of bolillo lace making.
There are also exercise and workout sessions, like pilates, which is similar to yoga and benefits people who suffer from back trouble, osteoarthritis and posture related pain.
Classes are divided into age groups and include infant, adult and senior citizen courses.
Those wishing to enrol in the classes must register at the Santa María de la Encarnacíon convent. For more information on times and courses available, contact Coín town hall or see www.coin.es
