The opera was first performed at Tartro LaScala in Milan on 9 March 1847 and is most famous for 'Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves' (Va, pensiero, sull'ali dorate). It is performed in four acts and follows the plight of the Jews as they are conquered and subsequently exiled from their homeland by the Babylonian King Nabucco (in English, Nebuchadnezzar II).

Ticket prices start at 18 euros and can be purchased from the Casa de la Cultura box office or from www.bravoentradas.com
