Italian-born jazz singer, Alessia Desogus, will be performing on Saturday 11 November at the Casa de la Cultura in Almuñécar.
Born in Sassari, Sardinia, Alessia Desogus is a singer and actress. She specialised in Greek tragedies, melodrama and silent film. She has gone on to work with Malachi Bogdanov from the Royal Shakespeare Company among many others.
In 1995 she started her own theatre company, La Botte e il cilindro, and has been involved in more than 50 performances either as an actress, singer or director. She divides her time mainly between Spain and Italy where she also participates in television programmes, festivals and workshops.
This autumn she is giving a series of performances as a 'divajazz' singer in Madrid, Granada city and Granada province.
The performance starts at 8pm. Tickets are on sale from the box office at Almuñécar's Casa de la Cultura or Viajes Ecuador and are priced 10 euros in advance or 12 euros on the door.
