Tickets are already on sale for the 38th International Jazz Festival in Granada. This year's programme includes nine concerts taking place in the auditorio Manuel de Falla, Centro Lorca and Teatro Isabel la Católica.
The City of Granada Orchestra will be under the direction of Peter Biely, composer and musician David Defries and the New Gutbucket Academy, and will be opening the festival on Thursday 2 November in Auditorio Manuel de Falla, offering a programme include arrangement of Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn and original compositions by David Defries.
The Kyle Eastwood Quintet will be presenting their newest project, In Transit, on Friday 3 November at the Teatro Isabel la Católica and the Jacky Terrasson Trio will also be playing there on Saturday 4 de November.
The Robert Glasper Trio, along with DJ Sundance, will be crossing the boundaries of jazz, hip hop, R&B and rock'n' roll at the Teatro Centro Lorca, on Sunday 5 November.
On Wednesday 8 November, the cultural association, Ool-Ya-Koo will be giving an exclusive concert, directed by Bob Sandsun when they will be performing works for big bands at the Teatro Isabel la Católica.
Other performances will come from saxaphonist, Ernesto Aurignac, trumpeter, Wallace Roney and the Ron Carter Golden Striker Trio and closing the festival on Sunday 12 November will be Zenet.
