World Palliative Care Day, which takes place on Saturday 14 October, is a world-wide event that supports the development of Palliative Care. More than 1,000 solidarity concerts in over 74 countries have been organised to celebrate the day, one of which will be held on the Costa del Sol.

This year, Cudeca will mark the day with a charity concert under the banner of, A Song to Life - Cudeca's Palliative Care Eliminates Suffering.
Malaga pianist, Cristina Alba Padial, who performed with the Malaga Symphony Orchestra at Cudeca's twenty-fifth anniversary concert at the Cervantes Theatre in April, will perform a show titled Worldwide Tour in 80 Keys. The show is a classical-music journey through the various masters of the genre.
Cristina Alba Padial is considered one of the most brilliant and inspirational pianists around at present. She trained as a concert pianist in Germany and debuted as a soloist with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra in 2009. Her shows receive praise and applause form the critics and lovers of classical music and she will receive warm welcome in her hometown on Saturday 14 October (tomorrow).
The show, which will be held in the Unicaja Sala de Conciertos María Cristina in Malaga, will begin at 8pm and tickets can be purchased online or on the door on the night of the concert. Tickets cost 10 euros.
The International Day of Palliative Care aims to raise funds and awareness in the community and ensure that all people around the world are entitled to quality care in the final stages of their lives.
