The International Theatre Studio Marbella is set to entertain audiences at Atalaya Park Hotel next weekend with their Autumn production. “Haywire”, a comedy written by Eric Chappell and directed by Diana King, features a cast of audience favourites as well as some newcomers.

Alec Firth, a book seller in his fifties, is having an affair with his assistant, Liz. He is doing all he can to arrange a dirty weekend away in Marbella - a reference for locals to relate to throughout - without arousing suspicion from his wife. What could possibly go wrong?

Plenty, as it turns out. Alec's doorstep suddenly becomes a hotspot of activity as his mother, who has discharged herself from an old people's home; his son, who is nurturing a broken ankle; and his daughter, heavily pregnant and not planning to marry the child's father, show up in quick succession.

Diana King, the current President of ITS, is delighted to have new actors joining the am-dram group and said she is excited by the “great cast” she has been working with on this production.

The performances will take place on Friday 20, Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 October in the Mayoral Discoteca at Atalaya Park Hotel at 8pm Friday and Saturday, with a 7pm start on Sunday. The bar will open an hour before the curtain goes up.
