The sky's the limit

  • The international air show take place this weekend in the skies above Torre del Mar

Following the success of last year’s international air show, Torre del Mar is hosting its second such event this weekend.

From Friday 28 until Sunday 30 July residents and visitors will be treated to displays from over 40 different aircraft including the Turkish Stars.

Troops from six countries will be participating in the International Air show; France, Italy, England, Belgium, Turkey and Spain. The F16 fighter from Belgium along with the Spanish F18 will be further highlights during the event.

Throughout Friday and Saturday spectators will be able to watch the different formations practising over the Torre del Mar coast, while Sunday will see the main event, with all of the aircraft taking it in turns to perform their displays and stunts.

Pop concert

In addition to the air show, a pop festival will be held in the fairground to the west of Torre del Mar on Saturday night.

Well-known local bands such as the Electroduendes will be performing alongside Spanish 80s and 90s groups, Modestia Aparte, Amistades Peligrosas, Cómplices and Trogloditas, among others.

The air show is a free event and the best views of the displays will be from the beach in Torre del Mar.
